Platanorema Canyon "Family"


Platanorema located in the western part of Pelion, on the side of Pagasitikos bay, near beautiful beaches. The canyon has 4 waterfalls up to 8m, slides and jumps.  It’s an activity ideal for beginners with water all long. A mild trekking route, slightly steeper in the end, alongside the river leads to the entrance of the canyon. It’s a rewarding activity in the most beautiful spots of Pelion.
 

Equipment provided

  • Helmet
  • Wetsuit neoprene (5mm)
  • Harness
  • Special canyoning backpack
  • Waterproof container

Bring with you:

  • Bathing suit
  • Shorts or leggings and shirt for trekking
  • A bottle of mineral water and a snack
  • Bath towel
  • 2 pairs of shoes
  • The first will be wet during canyoning (special canyoning shoes or trekking shoes or oil resistant labor shoes, that protect the ankle)
  • The second will be used after the activity.

A simple tour ideal also for children (over 11 years old).

The trekking paths to enter the canyon are mild and short. The highest abseil can be up to 12 meters and the canyon is mostly wide with escape routes all along. The jumps and slides are optional. Perfect also for first timers who have no experience in outdoor activities.

  • Training: 30 minutes
  • Hiking to enter the canyon: 30 minutes
  • Canyoning: 1,5 hours
  • Hiking to exit the canyon: 30 minutes
  • Activity starts at 10:00
  • Activity ends at 13:00
