Welcome to Pelion.
Relax and be our guest.
Above the beautiful city of Volos stretches Mount Pelion. The mountain, shaped in the form of a curve, is dipped in the crystal clear blue waters of the Aegean Sea, forming the Pagasitic Gulf.
Beautiful, dreaming beaches, serene gulfs, and picturesque fishing and mountain villages, compose the picture of this unique landscape.
A characteristic feature of this place is the rich landscape with it’s olive-, lemon-, and apple- trees, as well as a large variety of other plants (amounting to some 2.000 different species) which cover the area all the way up to the waterline.
There one can dive in the blue sea playfully! It feels like Paradise, whether walking through the small streets, or among the fields
through different flowers that seduce by their colour, and
drinking fresh water from the creeks which have been formed by the countless springs.
Since antiquity (prehistoric findings in Sesklo and Dimini),
Pelion has been famous for it’s forests, olive groves, vegetable gardens, and
magical herbs. Pelion is also connected with many myths and legends. The myths account that it was the home of the Centaurs and Argonauts. It was here that the wise Cheron, the heroes Jason and Achilles lived, and
Asclipios taught his medicine.
Pelion was said to have been praised by thousands of songs and poems. This mountain and its beautiful traditional villages, along with the sandy beaches and the sheltered bays offer unforgettable holidays to the visitor.
